The Research Laboratories Microelectronics Germany (ForLab) invite you to the virtual workshop on Deposition and Process Technologies for New Electronic Materials in October 2021. Located in Aachen, ten scientists of RWTH Aachen University, Jülich Research Center, AMO, AIXTRON, and Black Semiconductor present their research and provide insights in cutting-edge research in the field of micro- and nanotechnology. As the interface between engineering and natural sciences, research in the field of micro- and nanotechnology (MiNa) represents the key and basic technology for innovations in almost all areas of life. The scientific and economic importance of micro- and nanotechnology is growing at a rapid pace. The technological opportunities arising from this in the context of the microelectronics research laboratories will be presented during the workshop.

The workshop is organised by ForLab 2D-forMe as part of the specialization area of Micro- and Nanotechnology of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology located at RWTH Aachen University. A total of twelve Research Laboratories Microelectronics Germany (ForLab) open up new research fields for the microelectronics of the future and strengthen Germany as a microelectronics location. ForLab and the workshop are funded and supported by BMBF.
