The INTERREG project aims to provide support to local SMEs in reorienting towards a future-proof farming industry. This takes place in the context of a general recommendation (Wageningen University) to shift the region’s food trends towards healthy, sustainable products as well as a potential pandemic-related economic blow from the Euregio’s dependence on non-EU suppliers (ING bank).
The project focuses on providing these companies with the cutting-edge knowledge of best practices and technological advances by creating a joint design process between euregional farmers and food producers, on one side, and technological SMEs in the region as well as the main euregional universities, on the other side.
