The SensUs community is taking up the challenge of providing a global stage for bio-sensors and the life-changing possibilities associated with this technology. The international network of healthcare providers, patients, students, alumni, industry, and stakeholders brings together researchers through the SensUs Innovation Days to support future-oriented research in the field of healthcare.

Personalised bio-sensors offer the possibility of making uncomplicated and flexible monitoring of disease patterns through molecular analysis of body fluids accessible to a large number of patients. Some bio-sensors for blood sugar or cholesterol, for example, or in the form of pregnancy tests, are already an integral part of our everyday life. Since 2016, the SensUs competition teams have been confronted with varying clinical pictures every year. The task is to develop a prototype for a bio-sensor to measure, for example, creatinine in the case of kidney damage or the hormone NT-proBNP in cardiological disease patterns.
